#FridayAdventures -Things I find interesting at Fort Belknap

Being an ex-military person I love going to old forts. Fort Belknap was one of better restored forts in our area.  The rock buildings were in great condition. An old ammo magazine was turned into a chapel in the 1950’s. There were several artillery pieces scattered around the fort and the  museum had all types of firearms. I was also interested in the pictures and bios of all the commanders and primary personnel of the fort through all periods the fort was occupied. There were also pictures of the local people and their activities. Things like rattlesnake and mountain lion hunts. There was also a picture of the last jaguar killed in the county in 1905. These were some of the things I was interested in but my wife’s interest lies elsewhere and that is to be continued.
