As You Go Where You Don’t Want To Go

What do you do when you find yourself in a place not of your choosing? What do you do when the going gets hard?  When circumstances and situations seem bleak how is our going affected? For the past several months our family has been going through circumstances and situations not of our choosing. At times the situation seemed bleak. I must confess the past circumstances have affected every area of my life. This blog and being creative were far from my thoughts. While our family situation is far from perfect it is greatly improved. The month of May is it going to be my re-boot month! So, get ready to get going with Marshall and me!

I do not have any profound answers to the questions I have just asked. But I can say with assurance God is Good ALL THE TIME! During this stressful time God has shown up over and over providing not only resource when it was needed but so much more. The love and support we felt from our Brothers and Sisters in Christ was overwhelming at times. God has been so gracious to us allowing our circumstances to change for the better and the situation to become more than bearable I can say to you ‘Trust God!’ Trust God no matter what! Scripture does not promise life free from pain and suffering, hurtful circumstance, or trying situations. The promise we do have is it as we go through these difficult times Christ will go through it with us. He will be there to steady us. To comfort us. To give us peace. To see us through these places not of our choosing. As we go, he goes with us.

Seeing God’s provision in so many ways has made it apparent we must serve. We are preparing to leave for another mission trip! This time we will be taking our younger daughter Meggan with us. I am looking so forward to it. We will be returning to Idaho serving at Camp Pinewood in McCall. I have a feeling adventure awaits! In the days and weeks ahead, I will be sharing with you my travel project, my travel notebook, and all things concerning preparing for a long road trip! I hope you’ll join me as we prepare for another Ministry Adventure in the Cascade Mountains of Idaho.

I am leaving you with these reassuring words from Psalms.

Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth! Serve the Lord with gladness! Come into his presence with singing! Know that the Lord, he is God! It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name! For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.
Psalms 100:1-5 ESV
