Sew Monday – My Stitched Journey: Ships at Sea

Sew Monday this is the 3rd Block in my Stitched Journey project. This block features the ocean with its waves, and ships both big and small. In my stitched ocean you will see silver fish swimming happily around what could be a coral reef?!

I must admit I prefer mountains and valleys over the seashore. The Open Sea just isn’t for me. I have been on one cruise. It was fun. But I must admit being on the open sea, not able to see land in any direction made me feel tiny and insignificant. In fact, it was a little scary.

One day while on that cruise l stood on the deck of the ship observing the great expanse of water.  I was overwhelmed with how small I am but how big God is. Standing there listening to the sound of the ship cutting through the water, and the distant roar of the ship’s engines I could hear the voice of God saying, “yes you are small compared to these waters but my love for you is greater than all the ocean waters!”

The voice of the Lord echoes above the sea. The God of glory thunders. The Lord thunders over the mighty sea.
Psalms 29:3 NLT

God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him.
1 John 4:9 NLT
