Sew Monday -My Stitched Journey

HB4116

It’s a new year time for new beginnings and starting fresh. While searching Pinterest I came across the Gipsy Quilt Blog. The use of fans as a foundation for crazy quilt stitches has always appealed to me. I loved her sailing ship. I asked Marshall to draw a similar sailing ship for me. Then I transferred his drawing to white cotton fabric. The body or hull of the ship is achieved using brown crayon. The ship was then appliqued on the horizon. Details were added with embroidery stitches.

I’m not quite sure if I’m finished with it yet or not, but I’m sure of one thing.  We have all begun a journey. I cannot be certain where 2019 will take me, but ready or not here we go sailing into the new year! I have a strong confidence no matter where the New Year takes me, God will be with me! May your 2019 journeys be all you hope for.

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
